September Update

Class of 2000,

Due to COVID-19 and the current restrictions our State is in, we will be rescheduling our 20th Class reunion to next year. There are no venues allowing large gatherings currently and we highly doubt that we will be able to schedule anything through the end of this year. With that said, we are planning to tentatively reschedule our reunion for June of 2021.

The venue and how we will be gathering next year are still undetermined at this point. We wanted to first communicate that we will not be celebrating this year. We don’t know where we will be in 2021 regarding the COVID restrictions and how we will be able to celebrate. But on top our list will be a venue that will be safe and most enjoyable for the class.

Come beginning of 2021, we will revisit and check-in with the class regarding general logistical circumstances that we may need to consider for planning. We want to make sure we are accounting for and sensitive to all that may have been affected by the pandemic and current devastating wildfires.

This has been a very tough year for many of us being faced with circumstances we’ve never imagined we would face. Some of us has or continue to face illnesses, some have suffered a loss, and because of the social distancing restrictions – some may feel suffocated and alone, and some (like me) may not be adjusting very well with the pressures of work/life/balance due to being quarantined at home. With all that said, we hope that you know that you are not alone and to please reach out for help if needed.

Let’s use this forum (Facebook Group) as a safe place where we can help and encourage each other. I recall several fond memories from our time in school together when we lived in such a carefree time! Great friends that were always there to help brighten the mood and how much we cared for each other.

I am very much looking forward to reminiscing those times with some of you when we get a chance to celebrate next year and I hope that you will too!
Until then, please continue to add classmates to this page… I believe we had ~600 graduates and we are currently at 166 members only. I would appreciate if you continue to share our (Facebook) page to other classmates! THANK YOU.
